Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the salivary cathelicidin LL-37 and Human neutrophil peptide 3 [HNP-3] activity in caries active and caries free children using Reverse transcription Polymerase Chain reaction [RT- PCR].Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate the activity of cathelicidin LL-37 and Human neutrophil peptide 3 [HNP-3] in terms of age, gender and number of caries in caries active and caries free children. To determine the association between salivary LL-37, HNP-3 and mutans streptococci, S sorbinus and severe early childhood caries. Timepoint: 6 months
