Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with clinically diagnosed periodontitis (probing pocket depth greater or equal to 4 mm in more than 30 percent of sites) 2. Healthy patients (21-65 years) and,or patients with systemic conditions (eg; diabetes and,or hypertension) which is under control

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Absence of a digit-congenital or accidental 2. Patient with conditions or abnormities that did not allow accurate recording of finger prints 3. Smokers 4. Pregnant females 5. On antibiotics or other medications 6. Oral prophylaxis in past 6 months 7. Appliances. 8. Patients not willing to participate in the study
