Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Female patients aged between 18 to 35 years. Diagnosed cases of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome with oligomenorrhea or hypomenorrhea. Body Mass Index between 23 to 30 kg per square meter. Waist circumference more than 80 cm. Patients willing to participate and provide written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Body Mass Index less than 23 kg per square meter and more than 30 kg per square meter. Patients having any other disease causing oligomenorrhea and anovulation excluding Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome as per Rotterdam criteria. Known cases of Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Known cases of hyperandrogenemia such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, androgen secreting neoplasms and Cushing syndrome. Known cases of thyroid disease or severe cardiovascular disease. Known cases of kidney or liver disease. History of hypersensitivity to Tab Metformin or Shatpushpa Anethum sowa. Pregnant women. Breastfeeding women. Known cases of hyperprolactinemia.
