Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Shift Workers with SCRD Individuals who are engaged in shift work for at least the last six months. Individuals will be screened via the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) having a score more than 5. Non-Shift Workers Non SCRD (Control Group) Individuals who are working in day shifts only, with no history of night or rotating shifts in the past six months. Individuals will be screened via the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) having a score less than 5.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant/lactating women Individuals with extreme dietary habits, alcohol, tobacco intake or drug abuse. Individuals with chronic metabolic disorders (e.g., diabetes, HTN, dyslipidemia, etc.) and Individuals with skin conditions. (e.g. Skin infections, eczema, melasma etc.)

MeasureTime frame
It is anticipated that participants experiencing sleep and circadian rhythm disruption (SCRD) will exhibit downregulation of SIRT1 gene expression, along with a noticeable reduction in Twak Sara characteristics, in comparison to those without circadian disruption (non-SCRD group). It is expected that individuals with lower Twak Sara scores will show features consistent with accelerated cellular aging among SCRD participants.Timepoint: 12 months
