Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients on ATT therapy for tuberculosis showing early signs of hepatotoxicity Elevated liver enzymes ALT or AST more than two times but less than five times the upper limit of normal or total bilirubin less than 2 mg per dl Presence of mild clinical symptoms such as fatigu nausea anorexia or mild jaundice Ability and willingness to provide informed written consent Stable general health condition with no major systemic disease
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ALT or AST levels more than five times the upper limit of normal or total bilirubin more than 2 mg per dl Pre existing chronic liver diseases such as hepatitis B or hepatitis C or cirrhosis Patients concurrently taking other hepatotoxic medications Pregnant or lactating women History of alcohol abuse or substance misuse Patients diagnosed with any form of malignancy HIV positive patients or those undergoing antiretroviral therapy ART
