Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Probing pocket depth (PPD) of 4-6 mm as examined with Williams probe Clinical attachment level (CAL) of 1-5 mm as examined with William s probe Systemically healthy subjects.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with the history of periodontal therapy within 6 months prior to the study. Chronic use of antibiotics/ anti- inflammatory drugs 1 month prior to the study Routine use of mouthwash or other plaque controlling agents Diabetic patients or other immunocompromised patients Smokers Known history of allergic to drugs Pregnant and lactating women Aggressive periodontitis cases.
