Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children in age group 5 to 16 years irrespective of their gender. BMI more than 90th percentile according to age and gender. Obesity without known systemic disease (exogenous or primary obesity). Willingness to provide written assent and to come for regular follow up evaluation as & when required.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known case of Endogenous or secondary causes of childhood obesity. Known Genetic or syndromic obesity. Known Endocrine disorders or serious systemic illnesses. Previously or on use of corticosteroids,anti-obesity drugs. Known allergy to any ingredient of Amritadya Guggulu. Parents not willing to provide assent. Parents not willing for follow up evaluation.
