Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 65 years of either gender, ASA physical status I or II, scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia with expected duration of surgery less than 120 minutes.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients refusing consent, allergy to study drugs, haemodynamic instability, BMI more than 30 kg/m , anticipated difficult airway, laryngoscopy time more than 15 seconds or more than one intubation attempt, history of cardiac, hepatic or renal disease, upper respiratory tract infection, sore throat, or predicted difficult airway.
