Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 to 70 years any gender. ASA physical status I and II. Elective abdominal orthopedic gynecological or urological surgeries under general or spinal anesthesia lasting 1 to 4 hours Development of shivering in Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Written informed consent preoperatively

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known hypersensitivity to tramadol or opioids. History of seizure disorder or current serotonergic agent use. Thyroid dysfunction or severe cardiovascular/hepatic impairment. Hemodynamic instability or respiratory depression on Post Anesthesia Care Unit arrival. Pregnancy or lactation
