Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 18 to 50 years of either gender. Clinically and hematological diagnosed cases of Pandu / Iron Deficiency Anemia (as per Ayurveda and modern parameters). Hemoglobin level for men 7 - 13 g/dL, for women 7 - 12 g/dL. Patients with classical signs and symptoms of Pandu described in Ayurveda classics. Willingness to participate and provide informed written consent. Patients fit for oral therapy and outpatient management.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known cases of hemolytic anemia, megaloblastic anemia or anemia of chronic disease. Anemia due to other systemic disorders (e.g., k/c/o chronic kidney disease, tuberculosis, thalassemia, leukemia). Pregnant or lactating women. History of recent blood transfusion (within the past 3 months). Patients with known cases of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or severe cardiac, hepatic, or renal diseases.

To study the concept of Karma in Ayurveda and Philosophy. To study the Pandughna Karma in Ayurveda classics. To assess the Pandughna Karma of Guduchi Satva in subjective & objective parameters of Pandu. To observe any synergistic or antagonist effect of Guduchi Satva when administered with Ferrous Sulphate. To compare the Pandughna Karma of Guduchi Satva alone, Ferrous Sulphate alone, and their combination in the Management of Pandu (Iron Deficiency Anemia). Timepoint: 30 Days
