Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Females of age 18-50 years. Subjects with menstrual bleeding for more than 7 days and/or excessive in amount for the last two consecutive menstrual cycles. Excessive bleeding during menstruation having a PBLAC score of more than 100 points.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Bleeding associated with pregnancy or miscarriage Subjects undergoing hormonal replacement therapy Hb level less than or equal to 7 gm% Post-menopausal bleeding K/C/O Urogenital malignancy Women using IUCD/OCP Patient with uncontrolled Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, Thyroid dysfunction Patients with known cases of Liver dysfunction, Congestive cardiac failure, Coagulation disorders, Tuberculosis, Venereal diseases and Malignant conditions.

To determine the effect of matravasti with mahatiktaka Ghrita in reducing the amount of bleeding in Heavy Menstrual BleedingTimepoint: Assessment of PBLAC score will be carried out on the 4th day of menstruation (pre assessment before intervention),8th day(intermediate) and on 10th day of menstruation (post assessment).
