Intervention1: Zinc Supplementation: Zinc administered orally as adjuvant therapy along with standard treatment for community acquired pneumonia. Zinc is given as per age appropriate recommended dose

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All consecutive children between the ages of six months to eighteen years who developed clinical or radiologically diagnosed community acquired pneumonia will be enrolled.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children with known heart diseases. Children with zinc or vitamin A supplements in last six months. Children with obstructive airway disease or known case of asthma. Children with contraindication for enteral intake. Children with known intolerance or allergy to zinc or vitamin A. Children with active measles.
