Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of epilepsy according to the International league Against Epilepsy 2014 criteria Currently on AED therapy for at least past six months willing and able to provide written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe cognitive impairment or psychiatric comorbidities that would preclude a reliable interview patients with a terminal illness or other severe physical disability Patients who are unable or unwilling to provide consent

| Medication adherence will be assessed using the 8 item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale MMAS 8 This is a validated self-reported questionnaire that is widely used in clinical research.
