Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Participant should be willing to participate, with written informed consent/assent form and comply with all testing and recording procedures. 2. Male and female competitive karate athletes aged 15-35years specializing in the kata discipline. Minimum of 2 years of continuous kata training and competition. 3. Active participation in at least two kata competitions. 4. Ability to perform a complete standardized kata sequence appropriate to their training level.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Athletes currently suffering from any acute or chronic musculoskeletal injury within the past 6 months. 2. History of neurological, vestibular, or balance disorders that could affect postural control or movement performance in the past 6 months. 3. Presence of any cardiovascular or respiratory condition contraindicating moderate to vigorous physical activity. 4. Visual or auditory impairments not correctable to normal limits.

Design outcomes

MeasureTime frame
1. Core Endurance measured using the McGill Trunk Endurance Tests (Forearm Plank Test, Side Plank Test left and right, Modified Biering S rensen Test). 2. Dynamic Balance measured using the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT). 3. Movement Quality measured using the Modified Karate Movement Quality Scoring Sheet (MKMQS). 4. Dual-Task Performance measured using Auditory Recall Task, Stroop Test (Visual Task), and Dual-Task Cost (%) calculation.Timepoint: Core endurance, dynamic balance, movement quality, and dual-task performance will be assessed at baseline (pre-intervention) and at four weeks (post-intervention).
