Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with severe crowding in maxillary arch. 2) Patients requiring absolute anchorage where mini-implants may be desired. 3) Missing permanent teeth other than third molars. 4) Patients with any systemic disease or syndromes or any other craniofacial abnormalities. 5) Patient under medications that may affect orthodontic tooth movement.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the amount of anchorage loss after en-masse retraction of maxillary anteriors using sliding mechanics along with intrusion springs in maxillary first premolar extraction patients.Timepoint: Pre Retraction (T0= Baseline, 0 month) Post Retraction (T1= 10-12 months) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the linear & angular changes in maxillary molars & incisors after en-masse retraction using sliding mechanics along with intrusion springs in maxillary first premolar extraction patients. To evaluate linear changes in soft tissues after en-masse retraction using sliding mechanics along with intrusion springs in maxillary first premolar extraction patients.Timepoint: Pre Retraction (T0= Baseline 0 months) Post Retraction (T1= 10-12 months) | — |
