Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia. 2. Patients who have given written informed consent to participate in the study. 3. Patients with ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologist) grade I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patienst with ASA grade III and IV 2.Patients refusal for participation in study 3.Patients with hepatic, renal or cardiopulmonary abnormality 4.Patients with uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes mellitus 5.Patients with psychiatric illness 6.Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the research drugs.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure changes during laryngoscopy between the two drugs.Timepoint: Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure will be recorded at baseline, after giving study drug, immediately after laryngoscopy and intubation, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th 10th, and 15th minutes after intubation.

MeasureTime frame
To compare heart rate changes during laryngoscopy between the two drugs.Timepoint: Heart rate will be recorded at baseline, after giving study drug, immediately after laryngoscopy and intubation, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th 10th, and 15th minutes after intubation.;To compare the side effects of the two adjuvants used(if any).Timepoint: Intraoperative and postoperative period.
