Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. History of infertility of at least 12 months despite regular unprotected intercourse. 2. Age: Men within the reproductive age range (typically 20 to 40 years) to represent the population of interest. 3. Abstinence Period: Men adhering to a specific abstinence period (e.g., 2 to 7 days) before semen collection to ensure a standard sperm concentration. 4. Patients who are willing to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age: Men outside the defined reproductive age range. 2. Recent Illness or Fever: Men who have experienced illness or fever in the weeks leading up to the study, as this could temporarily affect sperm parameters. Varicocele, cryptorchidism, testicular trauma, gonadal disease, Genital tract infection, scrotal disease574 3. Systemic Illness. Men with systemic illnesses or chronic medical conditions that may affect spermatogenesis or sperm motility. 42 4. Recent Medication Use: Men taking medications known to impact sperm motility (eg, certain antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs) within a specified timeframe. 5. Inability to Provide an Adequate Sample: Men are unable to provide an adequate semen sample for analysis due to various reasons, such as difficulty with sample collection. The study is expected to demonstrate that cryopreservation significantly increases reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in spermatozoa of subfertile men, leading to compromised acrosome integrity.Timepoint: Baseline assessment was performed at Week 0 immediately after semen collection to evaluate ROS levels and acrosome integrity in fresh spermatozoa. Samples were cryopreserved and stored during Weeks 1 3, and the post-thaw evaluation at Week 4 assessed changes in ROS levels and acrosome integrity following cryopreservation.
