Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ICU admission STAGE 1 AKI OR ABOVE URINARY CATHETER IN SITU NO EVIDENCE SUGGESTIVE OF CKD

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Anuria Patients with a known history of kidney transplant Patients with significant burns, rhabdomyolysis or cirrhosis ( child pugh B and C ) that might interfere with creatinine metabolism Patients needing renal replacement therapy on admission Patients who are under weight with BMI less than 18.5
