Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Symptomatic cases of Alopecia areata. 2.Both the sexes will be considered. 3.Those who agree to give consent to participate in the study. 4.Those who are willing to have regular follow up visits.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Alopecia due to scarring, burns , trauma, chemotherapy or radiation. 2. Patients with infectious causes of hair loss (e.g, tinea capitis or other fungal infections of the scalp). 3. Patients with systemic autoimmune disorder requiring life saving treatment. 4. Patients with serious co-morbidity such as serious systemic diseases Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, thyroid disorders ,malignancy,psychiatric illness. 5. History of narcotics abuse or drugs or alcohol abuse. 6. Patients currently on corticosteroids or immunosuppressive therapy. 7. Pregnant or lactating women. 8. Patient who are not regular in follow up.
