Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion of patients will be done according to American Medical Association criteria for diagnosis of Diabetes, i.e., a) HbAlc level of 6.5% or higher 2. A fasting blood Sugar level (FBS) of 126 mg/dl. (7 mmol/L) or higher, (fasting is defined as no caloric intake for at least 8 hours.) 3. A 2-hour Blood Sugar level (PPBS) of 200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L) or higher. 4. Subjects in the age group of 20 to 60 years. Selected signs and symptoms based on both Ayurvedic and modern contexts. 5. Both Male and Female (non-pregnant, non-lactating) gender Subjects are included in the study. 6. Written consent showing willingness to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetes mellitus type 1 2. high Fasting blood sugar more than 200 mg per dl, not selected for the study 3 having high post prandial blood sugar more than 300 mg per dl were not selected 4. Subjects having complications of Diabetes like Ketoacidosis, Nephropathy, Neuropathy, Retinopathy, and Diabetic wounds. 5. Chronic hepatic or renal disease. 6. Subjects with known Chronic Infectious Disease, such as active Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B or C, or HIV.
