Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure in elderly patients having arterial wall stiffness with the elderly patients having normal arterial wall undergoing infraumbilical surgery under spinal anaesthesia.Timepoint: Analysis will be recorded at a 3 minute interval for the first 30 minutes and thereafter every 5 minutes till the completion of surgery. After completion of surgery vital parameters will be recorded every 30 minutes for the next 6 hours post operatively. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the heart rate between the groups.Timepoint: Analysis will be recorded at a 3 minute interval for the first 30 minutes and thereafter every 5 minutes till the completion of surgery. After completion of surgery vital parameters will be recorded every 30 minutes for the next 6 hours post operatively.;To compare the ST changes between the groups.Timepoint: Analysis will be recorded at a 3 minute interval for the first 30 minutes and thereafter every 5 minutes till the completion of surgery. After completion of surgery vital parameters will be recorded every 30 minutes for the next 6 hours post operatively.;To compare the incidence of hypotension and bradycardiaTimepoint: Analysis will be recorded at a 3 minute interval for the first 30 minutes and thereafter every 5 minutes till the completion of surgery.
