Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primigravida of 37 weeks onwards with 1.True labour pain 2. Adequate pelvis 3.In latent phase of labour (up to 2-3 cm dilatation of cervix). 4.Age between 18-35 years. 5.Single intrauterine gestation with vertex presentation. 6.Subjects who are agree to participate and ready to sign the consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.High risk pregnancy with hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes mellitus, pulmonary diseases, renal diseases, psychiatric illness, cardiac disease, epilepsy, severe Anaemia. 2.Diagnosed case of HIV, HBsAg, and VDRL. 3.Intra uterine growth restriction. 4.Indications of caesarean section.

MeasureTime frame
Progress of labour will be assessed by A) Bishop s score Total score=13; Favourable score= 6-13; Unfavourable for normal labour= 0-5; Vaginal examination will be made every Six hours to note the state of the cervix. B) Partograph Graphical record of all the observations during assessment of stages of labour will be plotted in a partograph to assess the progress, maternal and fetal well-being. Timepoint: Continuous monitoring until completion of first stage of labour.
