Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Small biopsy specimens submitted for routine histopathological examination, including: Endoscopic biopsy specimens, Core needle biopsies, Endometrial samples using pipelle biopsy and Small surgical excision specimens like skin punch biopsies, mucosal excisions, and minor soft tissue biopsies.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Large resection specimens, decalcified tissues, poorly fixed or autolysed samples and specimens requiring special processing were excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The study is expected to demonstrate that the small biopsy tissue cassette allows efficient tissue processing while maintaining the integrity and quality of the specimens. It may reduce tissue fragmentation and processing-related artefacts, minimise sample displacement or loss, and prevent tissue adherence to the cassette, thereby supporting accurate histopathological interpretation and the efficient use of laboratory resources.Timepoint: At Baseline and within 24 hours (post-processing and reporting).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of ease of tissue handling & specimen retention within the cassette during processing.Timepoint: At baseline & 12 hours
