Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA GRADE I AND II AGE 18-60 YEARS PATIENT UNDERGOING ELECTIVE SURGERY UNDER GENERAL ANAESTHESIA WITH ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA Grade III or higher. Patients anticipated to have a difficult airway. Patients refusing or unable to give consent. Patients with facial burns. Patients with oral pathology.

Correlation between preoperative ultrasound measured tongue thickness and Cormack-Lehane laryngoscopy grade.Timepoint: Tongue thickness measured preoperatively on the day of surgery. Cormack-Lehane grading recorded during direct laryngoscopy after induction of anaesthesia.
