Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients giving written informed consent. ASA III/IV/V grading. Posted for pleuroscopy procedure. Patients who are able to understand and report pain score.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal of patient. ASA I/II grading. Patients with skin infection at site of block. Known sensitivity or allergy to local anaesthetic drugs. Patients on chronic anticoagulants or patients with known coagulopathies.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess anaesthetic efficacy of serratus anterior plane block in terms of requirement of additional analgesia, sedation or general anaesthesiaTimepoint: Intraoperatively every 15 minutes till end of procedure. Postoperatively VAS score every 2 hourly upto 12 hours

MeasureTime frame
To assess intraoperative hemodynamic stability and duration of post operative analgesiaTimepoint: Intraoperatively every 15 minutes till end of procedure. Postoperatively VAS score every 2 hourly upto 12 hours
