Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women aged 18 to 35 years with a singleton pregnancy presenting before fourteen weeks of gestation as confirmed by last menstrual period or dating scan and willing to provide informed consent will be included in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with pre-existing diabetes mellitus or impaired glucose tolerance, hypertension, renal or other metabolic disorders, multiple pregnancy, history of gout or hyperuricemia, use of medications affecting uric acid levels, or those consuming a high-protein or high uric acid diet will be excluded from the study
