Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients [18 to 99 years] with unilateral or bilateral inguinal hernia suitable for laparoscopic repair American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-III Ability to provide informed consent No contraindications to laparoscopic surgery No previous inguinal hernia repair on the same side

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Emergency hernia repair (incarcerated or strangulated hernia) Recurrent inguinal hernia Pregnancy Active infection or inflammatory bowel disease Patients requiring concurrent abdominal procedures Severe cardiac or pulmonary comorbidities precluding laparoscopic approach

Reduction in operative time for 3D laparoscopic systems in transabdominal pre-peritoneal (TAPP) inguinal hernia repair in comparison to 2D laparoscopic systems in transabdominal pre-peritoneal (TAPP) inguinal hernia repair.Timepoint: At baseline, and at 2 weeks

Improvement of Surgeon-reported ease of dissection and overall procedure satisfaction, using the NASA-TLX score Reduction in complications for 3D vs 2D laparoscopic approaches Decrease in the length of hospital stay and time to return to normal activities Reduction in the Time required to suture the peritoneal flap in 3D Laparoscopic TAPPTimepoint: Operative times to be recorded as specified. Complications to be assessed at 7 days and 30 days of post operative period.
