Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Currently enrolled students of Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and patients attending the college Hospital. Subjects with cutoffs more than or equal to 31 for males and more than or equal to 33 for females on validated scale for critical use of Smartphone.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with pre-existing ocular surface diseases (e.g., conjunctivitis, blepharitis). Current use of systemic medications known to cause dry eye e.g. isotretinoin. History of ocular surgery or trauma within the last year. Students and patients using contact lenses.

Assessment of the prevalence of DES symptoms among students of Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and patients attending the College Hospital using digital devices. Evaluation of the severity of Dry Eye Syndrome in relation to the duration of screen usage. Identification of the potential confounding factors (such as environmental conditions, screen breaks, posture) that may influence Dry Eye Syndrome symptoms. Timepoint: At the end of the study
