Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy, Prediabetic, or Type 2 Diabetes as per ADA criteria HbA1c Normal Range less than 5.7 percent Prediabetes 5.7 to 6.4 percent Diabetes Mellitus (Diagnostic) greater than or equal to 6.5 to 10 percent (as per ADA criteria) On stable Standard Protocol dose for at least 4 weeks (DM groups)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Type 1 Diabetes, On insulin therapy Pregnancy or lactation Allergy to jackfruit Severe systemic illness

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the effect of raw and mature jackfruit powder as a dietary supplement on glycemic control by assessing the change in HbA1c from baseline to 12 weeks in healthy, prediabetic and diabetic individuals.Timepoint: Assessment on 0th 30th 60th 90th days.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the effect of supplementation on Fasting Blood Sugar and Post Prandial Blood Sugar PPBS. To evaluate the changes in Serum Insulin fasting and Serum C-Peptide fasting levels, as indicators of insulin secretion and Beta cell function. To determine the safety, tolerability, and adherence to jackfruit powder supplementation.Timepoint: Assessment on 0th 30th 60th 90th days.
