Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Mandibular first permanent molars diagnosed with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis Presence of deep carious lesions approximating/involving the pulp Positive response to cold test and/or electric pulp testing Absence of periapical pathosis on radiographic examination
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with known allergy to articaine or sulfites Teeth with necrotic pulp or acute apical abscess Patients on analgesics, within 12 hours prior to treatment Pregnant or lactating women Systemic conditions contraindicating local anesthesia Any re-RCT treatment case Patients with chronic pain Patients with neuropathic, psychiatric, genetic, metabolic, inflammatory or autoimmune disorders Presence of periodontal disease
