Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Neonate with more than equal to 28 weeks of gestation and birth weight more than equal to 1000 grams with symptomatic pneumothorax requiring either more than equal to 30 percent Fio2 on non-invasive support or requiring invasive ventilation for maintaining spo2 more than 90 percent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Neonates with major congenital malformations Malformations of lung parenchyma (Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation, Congenital lobar emphysema, Pulmonary hypoplasia, etc.) Grade 3 or higher IVH at randomization Pulmonary hypertension Recurrent pneumothorax Bleeding from more than 1 site Cases in which needle decompression alone suffices and no drain is placed will not be eligible for randomization
