Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients both males and females aged 20-50 yrs presenting with gingivitis Subjects who had not received periodontal therapy for the past 3 months Patients who are not smokers Patients who are cooperative and able to come for regular follow up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are not willing to give consent Pregnant and lactating women Subjects with less than 20 permanent teeth remaining Patients using any other supplemental plaque control measures like interdental cleansing aids or mouthwashes Patients who had received either antibiotic or anti inflammatory therapy within three months of baseline examination
