Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Nulliparous. 2. Age : 18-40 years. 3. Singleton pregnancy. 4. 37- 41 weeks Period of Gestation . 5. No previous major surgery under anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Women with hearing impairment. 2. Women with known severe anxiety disorder.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Mean anxiety level during caesarean section, assessed by State - Trait Anxiety Inventory.Timepoint: Baseline (before initiation of music therapy), immediately prior to administration of regional anaesthesia, and after completion of caesarean section.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Mean anxiety level before and after caesarean section assessed by State - Trait Anxiety Inventory . 2. Immediate post operative pain at 1 hour by Visual Analogue Scale for Pain. 3. Post caesarean section parameters- Blood pressure , Pulse, Respiratory rate,SpO2 . Timepoint: 1) STAI ANXIETY- Baseline (10 15 minutes prior to regional anaesthesia) and postoperative period (within 2 hours after caesarean section) 2)VAS PAIN - 1 hr POST Caesarean section 3) VITALS- Within 2 hour Post Caesarean section.
