Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Obese and Overweight children aged 5 to 18 years admitted in the Department of Paediatrics, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with chronic kidney disease, liver disease, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption syndrome, autoimmune disease and malignancy. 2. Children on vitamin D supplementation from the past 6 weeks. 3. Obese and overweight children on iron prophylaxis

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome- to study the iron deficiency and vitamin D deficiency in obese and overweight children aged 5 to 18 years using biochemical parameters, which is a part of the routine evaluation of the study population.Timepoint: every 4 to 6 weeks evaluation in total 42 weeks

MeasureTime frame
To study Anthropometric indictors BMI Waist to Hip Ratio Z scores To study the cause of overweight & obesity & to study the signs & symptoms of the micronutrient deficiencyTimepoint: every 4 to 6 weeks till 48 weeks
