Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects exhibiting the classical lakshanas of Ekakushta as described in Ayurvedic texts. Individuals presenting with clinical signs and symptoms of Plaque Psoriasis. Participants of irrespective gender any religion, occupation and economic status within the age group of 18 to 60 years. Chronicity of the disease should be less than 10 years. Subjects assessed and found fit for Virechana (therapeutic purgation). Both newly diagnosed (fresh) and previously treated cases of psoriasis will be considered for inclusion. Subjects who are willing to sign consent form voluntarily.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subjects with co-morbid conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Cardiac disorders, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Cases of Psoriatic Arthritis. Individuals in whom Snehapana and Virechana Karma are contraindicated. Pregnant and lactating women. Subjects diagnosed with skin disorders other than Ekakushta. Other types of psoriasis such as Guttate, Erythrodermic, or Pustular psoriasis.
