Inclusion criteria: PEDIATRIC PATIENTS WEIGHT MORE THAN 7KGS ELECTIVE OPEN HEART SURGERY VIA MEDIAN STERNOTOMY ASA STATUS II-III HEMODYNAMIC STABLE PREOPRATIVELY GUARDIANS WILLING TO PROVIDE WRITTEN INFORMED CONSENT

Exclusion criteria: EMERGENCY CARDIAC PROCEDURES LOCAL INFECTION AT THE SITE ALLERGIC TO LOCAL ANAESTHETICS PRE EXISTING NEUROLOGICAL OR NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDERS DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY OR INABILITY TO ASSESS PAIN SCORES ACCURATELY
