Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals aged greater than or equal to 12 and above years, categorized as adolescents (12 18 years), adults (19 65 years), and older adults (above 65 years) 2. Participants who provide voluntary informed consent to participate in the survey (or assent along with parental/guardian consent for minors) 3. Ability to respond to survey questionnaires and participate in assessments. 4. Residents of the survey area for at least 6 months to ensure relevant cultural and lifestyle exposure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals with known severe chronic illnesses unrelated to the survey (e.g., advanced cancer, severe renal or hepatic failure). 2. Currently hospitalized or unable to participate in interviews or anthropometric measurements. 3. Individuals with cognitive impairments or psychiatric conditions preventing reliable responses. 4. Those currently participating in other clinical trials or intervention studies affecting iron or bone/joint health.

To assess the prevalence of anaemia and bone and joint health issues and evaluate their association with nutrition, lifestyle, and health knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) among participants.Timepoint: Base Line

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Measure prevalence of anaemia, fractures, joint pain, or osteoarthritis diagnoses. Document anthropometric indices Height, weight, BMI, WHR, WHtR, MUAC & BAI to explore their association with KAP findings. Explore cultural, sociodemographic, & other lifestyle factors influencing knowledge, practices, & management of IDA & Bone & Joint health (With a focus on osteoarthritis) Provide recommendations for targeted awareness & intervention programs.Timepoint: Base Line
