Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed with stage 3 eGFR 30 to 60 CKD of mixed etiology, including diabetes and hypertension Stage 3 CKD further divided into Stage 3a GFR between 45 and 59 Stage 3b GFR between 30 and 44 Considered due to prognostic difference between the two Patient on a stable dose of OHA for at least 4 weeks with HbA1c up to 8 Patients with controlled blood pressure up to 140/90 mmHg with oral antihypertensive medication for at least 2 weeks Patients on CCBs, beta blockers, or diuretics may be included All drugs should be continued at stable doses during the trial
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of acute kidney injury in last three months History of Polycystic kidney disease. History of Renal calculi or obstructive uropathy Recurrent History of of UTI more than 3 to 4 episodes. History of uncontrolled use of analgesics.
