Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Probing Depth more than 5mm following phase I therapy. Acceptable oral hygiene prior to surgical therapy Radiographic evidence of similar pattern of bone loss in associated contralateral quadrants.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient with history of aggressive periodontitis. Subjects who refuse to give written consent. Subjects with uncontrolled systemic disorders. Current Smokers or use of any form of tobacco use. Mobility of teeth at surgical sites. Patients with abnormal blood pattern. Medications known to affect the outcomes of periodontal therapy. Pregnant and/or lactating women. Patients who had undergone any periodontal therapy in the preceding 6 months.

Clinical Outcome reduction in probing pocket depth (PPD) changes in clinical attachment level (CAL) gingival bleeding index (GBI) gingival index (GI) plaque index (PI) oral hygiene index simplified (OHI-S) Radiographic outcome Changes in the distance from cementoenamel junction to alveolar crest using Radiographic grid and linear measurements (in mm). Changes in bone density using (Hounsfield units and Gray Scale Value).Timepoint: Clinical Outcome 10th day 30th day 60th day 90th day Radiographic outcome 90th day and 9 months

Wound Healing Index (Landry s wound healing index) Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)Timepoint: Wound Healing Index (Landry s wound healing index) will be recorded post-operatively on 10th day and 30th day. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) will be recorded post-operatively on 2nd day and 10th day.
