Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients fulfilling the diagnostic criteria. Patients will be selected between 18 to 60 years of age irrelevant of gender. Patient who has taken treatment in IPD of P.D. Patel ayurveda hospital for atleast 1 month and came to OPD for follow up of PD Patel ayurveda hospital for atleast 5 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient with complications like anal fistula, colonic perforation, cancer and other. Severe anaemia where haemoglobin less than 6.0 , Severe systemic illness like, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus where HbA1C greater than 7.5 , AIDS, hepatitis, cancer, tuberculosis, uncontrolled hypertension and other.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of the study is the assessment of signs and symptoms of ulcerative colitis. These will be evaluated using subjective criteria and classified according to the Montreal classification of disease severity.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes include changes observed in laboratory parameters such as occult blood in stool, presence of red blood cells & pus cells in stool, total leukocyte count (TLC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), & hemoglobin levels. These will be assessed through standard laboratory reports.Timepoint: 6 months
