Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: For the preeclampsia group cases pregnant women aged 18 to 40 years with a singleton pregnancy of at least 20 weeks gestation diagnosed with preeclampsia based on blood pressure 140 over 90 mmHg after 20 weeks with proteinuria or other systemic features and willing to provide informed consent will be included For the normal pregnancy group controls pregnant women aged 18 to 40 years with a singleton pregnancy of at least 20 weeks gestation having normal blood pressure no features of preeclampsia and willing to provide informed consent will be included
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Women with a history of chronic hypertension renal disease or diabetes mellitus multiple gestation endocrine disorders such as parathyroid disease liver dysfunction unrelated to preeclampsia smoking or substance abuse and known fetal anomalies will be excluded from the study
