Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Individuals between 30-50 years of age , irrespective of gender , education , religion and socioeconomic status. 2) Clinically healthy individuals , with no chronic Systemic illness ( e.g., diabetes , hypertension,cardiovascular disease , autoimmune disorders) will be included. 3) Individuals who have been practicing yoga regularly Since 1 year , with minimum frequency of 3 sessions per week, and each session last long for 30-45 minutes. 4) Body mass index between 18.5 and 25 to minimise confounding effects of underweight or obesity on phenotypic aging. 5) Participants who consume outside or restaurant- prepared food not more than 4 to 6 times a month , and maintain primarily home-cooked meals during the weekdays 6) Not engaged in high level athletic training or competitive sports. 7) Willing to provide written informed consent and comply with all study procedures, including interviews , sampling for phenotypic age biomarkers and questionnaires. 8) Low to moderate IPAQ Score (i.e., less than 3000 MET-minutes per week ) for non yoga practitioners.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Individuals younger than 30 years or older than 50 years at the time of recruitment 2) Diagnosis of any chronic medical condition , including diabetes mellitus , hypertension , cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory conditions ( e.g.,asthma , COPD ), autoimmune disorders, thyroid dysfunction , cancer 3) Recent major surgery or hospitalisation within the last 6 months. 4) Individuals taking long term medications. 5) Engaging in yoga for less than 1 years . 6) High IPAQ-SQ Score ( more than 3000 MET-minutes per week )for non yoga practitioners. 7) Individuals involved in intensive physical training, such as professional athletes or those regularly engaged in high performance fitness routine ( e.g., cross fit, marathon training ) as these may independently influence biological aging. 8) History of Alcohol abuse or substance abuse . 9) Underweight ( BMI less than18.5 ) or obese (BMI more than 25 ) 10) Subjects who are unable to give consent.
