Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Paediatric patients in the age group between 1 month - 5 years, of either sex, belonging to ASA grade 1- 3, requiring central venous catheterization in operation theatre will be included after written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient having infection at the access site. 2. Patients with thrombocytopenia, coagulopathy, or on anticoagulation therapy. 3. Previous history of internal jugular vein catheterization, neck surgeries, or radiation 4. Aberrant IJV anatomy by US imaging (agenesis, strictures, or duplication) and thepresence of a thrombus within the IJV
