Inclusion criteria: 1)Elective surgeries required spinal anaesthesia 2)ASA grade I-III 3)Age between 18 years to 70 years 4)Patient willing

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Spinal Deformitis likelordosis,spinal surgeries 2)Neurological disorders 3)Parturient.

To accurately predict the depth of subarachnoid space by preprocvedural USG and Chongs modified for compared with depth by landmark guided technique.Timepoint: immediately after spinal anaesthesia

Ease of landmark palpation, grading by USG, successful dural puncture, number of attempts.Timepoint: at the time of giving spinal anaesthesia
