Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the first attempt success rate of Internal Jugular Vein cannulation in supine and lateral positionTimepoint: Immediately post procedure

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the access time of internal jugular vein cannulation in the two positions. To compare the guide wire insertion time of IJV cannulation in the two positions. To compare the catheterisation time of IJV cannulation in the two positions. To compare the number of attempts taken for IJV cannulation in the two positions. To compare the total success rate o f IJV cannulation in the two positions. To compare the complications of IJV cannulation in the two positions. Operator satisfaction using likert scale 1 to 5 Experience of the operator in US guided IJV cathetrization will also be notedTimepoint: Post procedure follow up
