Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus according to ADA criteria, Serum sodium level less than 135 mEq per L, Not on sodium supplementation or diuretics, Able to give informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Chronic kidney disease above or equal to Stage 3, Hepatic cirrhosis or congestive cardiac failure Pregnant or lactating women, Recent hospitalization or acute illness, Concurrent use of other alternative treatments
