Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All patients undergoing open ventral hernia repair with meshplasty who are older than 18 years and younger than 60 years. 2. Both male and female.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below 18 years and above 60 years of age 2. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes 3. Patients on anticoagulation drugs 4. Patients with history of previous meshplasty/ radiotherapy to abdomen. 5. Patients with inadvertent intraoperative bowel injury during first and current surgical procedure. 6. Immunocompromised patients.

| The main purpose of the study is to assess the efficacy of negative pressure wound therapy following ventral hernia repair and comparison of negative pressure wound therapy with conventional dressing following ventral hernia repair in a tertiary care centre. This study will help iin reducing post-operative seroma, post-operative pain, Woun chiscence, SSI and reduced hospital stay.Timepoint: The outcome parameters will be assessed after the procedure (Application of Negative pressure wound dressing on surgical site of ventral hernia repair surgery) on Day 1, Day 3, Day 5, Day 7 of surgery and on the day of discharge. | — |
