Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients above the age of 18 years who are admitted with Malignant MCA infarction and are willing for surgical management are to be enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The excluded patients are those with Pre stroke Modified Rankin Scale score more than 2,Glasgow Coma Scale less than 4,Both pupils fixed and dilated, Any other coincidental brain lesion that could affect the outcome,Life expectancy of less than 3 years due to other factors,Other serious illnesses that might affect the outcome,Known coagulopathy or systemic bleeding disorders,Contraindication for anaesthesia and Pregnant women.
