Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients of either gender aged eighteen to sixty five years, scheduled for elective endoscopic nasal surgeries under general anaesthesia. Patients belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status One or Two.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with known allergy to local anaesthetic agents. 2 Patients with severe hepatic disease, severe renal disease, or severe cardiac disease. 3 Patients with cognitive impairment affecting the ability to assess postoperative pain scores. 4 Patients who have used opioid analgesic medication within twenty four hours prior to surgery.

Postoperative quality of recovery assessed using the Quality of Recovery Nine questionnaire in patients undergoing elective endoscopic nasal surgeries receiving opioid free anaesthesia or opioid based anaesthesiaTimepoint: Twenty four hours after surgery

1. Haemodynamics parameters (heart rate, blood pressure and Spo2) upto 24 hrs. 2. Length of stay in the postoperative recovery unit (PACU) by using modified aldrete score. 3. Pain score using Numeric rating score in first 24 hrs. 4. Duration of Analgesia (after extubation of patient to need of first rescue analgesia.) 5. Postoperative total consumption of Analgesia in 24 hrs.Timepoint: 24 hours after surgery
