Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects who have been married to the person with AUD for at least one year. Couples having at least one child or expecting one soon. Those spouses willing to participate in study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who are diagnosed with physical or mental illness. Subjects who are not staying with the person with AUD. Subjects not willing to be part of study

MeasureTime frame
1.Find the spouse s level of understanding of their partner s addiction using, The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). 2. Understand the impact of AUD on the marital life using Marital Quality scale (MQS).Timepoint: It is a one time assessment in duration of 6 months

MeasureTime frame
1. Identify the challenges faced by Spouse s in inter personal relationships . 2. Explore the ways in which the spouses of person s with AUD cope with the challenges. Timepoint: 6 months
